12" 2500LB WCB Self-Sealing Butt Weld Globe Valve is a large-bore, ultra-high pressure carbon steel self-sealing butt weld globe valve, designed specifically for medium shut-off and flow regulation under extreme high-pressure conditions. Constructed from ASTM A216 WCB carbon steel, this valve combines a 12-inch large bore with a 2500LB ultra-high pressure class. Paired with a self-sealing bonnet structure and butt weld connection, it achieves zero external leakage and highly reliable operation.The rising disc design adopted in conventional globe valves delivers excellent flow regulation performance and sealing integrity. This valve is widely used in main steam systems, high-pressure water supply systems and critical process pipelines in industries including power generation, petrochemical, coal chemical and nuclear power. It supports manual or heavy-duty automated operation, meeting the most stringent safety and performance requirements.

Structural Features

  • WCB Carbon Steel Material: The valve body is cast from ASTM A216 WCB carbon steel, featuring excellent mechanical properties, high yield strength, strong pressure-bearing capacity and cost-effectiveness. It is suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions with neutral media such as steam and water.

  • Self-Sealing Bonnet Structure: The bonnet and body adopt a pressure self-energized sealing structure (e.g., wedge gasket or octagonal gasket sealing). The higher the medium pressure, the more reliable the sealing. Compared with bolted flanged bonnets, it significantly reduces the risk of external leakage under high pressure, making it ideal for ultra-high pressure applications.

  • Butt Weld Connection (BW): The valve ends are connected to the pipeline by full butt weld in accordance with ASME B16.25. With no flanged sealing faces or bolted joints, it completely eliminates leakage risks at connections. It features a compact structure and high pressure resistance, suitable for critical high-pressure systems.

  • Rising Disc Design: The disc moves linearly along the valve stem axis with an S-shaped or angular flow passage, delivering excellent throttling and regulation performance. When closed, the disc sealing face fits tightly with the seat to achieve reliable shut-off.

  • Hardfaced Disc and Seat: Sealing surfaces are hardfaced with Stellite or other hard alloys, providing high temperature resistance, erosion resistance and wear resistance, thus extending the service life of sealing components.

  • Non-Rotating Stem Design: The disc is flexibly connected to the stem. The disc does not rotate with the stem during operation, reducing wear on sealing faces and improving sealing reliability.

  • Top-Entry Bonnet Structure: The self-sealing connection between bonnet and body allows online maintenance of internal parts without removing the valve from the pipeline.

  • Fire-Safe Design: Compliant with API 6FA standard. Graphite packing and metal sealing structures maintain sealing integrity in case of fire to prevent catastrophic leakage.

  • Stem Blowout-Proof Design: The stem is equipped with a blowout-proof structure to ensure operational safety under ultra-high pressure conditions.

  • Optional Extended Stem and Bellows Seal: Suitable for high-temperature, toxic or radioactive media to achieve zero leakage at the stuffing box.
