1.Structure and Working Principle

I.Structure

The plug valve occupies an important position by virtue of its unique structure and working principle. The core part of the cock, mostly cylindrical or cone, is provided with a through hole, like the "heart switch" of the valve. Under ordinary working conditions, the cock made of copper and cast iron can be competent; However, in the face of harsh environments such as high temperature, high pressure and strong corrosion, stainless steel, alloy steel or materials with special coatings are the "best partners", which ensure stable rotation of the cock and control the opening and closing of the fluid channel and the flow rate. ​
The valve body is like the "protective shell" of the cock and the "connection hub" of the pipeline, which is tubular, and the two ends of the interface are connected to the pipeline, and the connection methods such as thread, flange and welding are flexible to adapt to different specifications of the pipeline. Material selection also varies according to the scene, the general industry commonly used cast steel valve body; Industries with high demand for corrosion protection, such as chemical industry, rely on fluorine-lined, rubber-lined or corrosion-resistant alloy valve bodies.


II.Working Principle

The working principle of the plug valve is based on the rotating motion of the cock. When the plug valve is closed, the through hole of the plug and the fluid channel of the valve body are perpendicular to each other, and the fluid cannot pass through the valve and the fluid is cut off. When it is necessary to open the valve, the cock is rotated around its axis by a driving device, such as manually turning the handle, pneumatic or electric drive. With the rotation of the cock, the internal through hole is gradually aligned with the fluid channel of the valve body, and the fluid can flow from one end of the valve body through the through hole of the cock, and then flow out from the other end of the valve body, thus achieving the fluid conduction. By controlling the rotation Angle of the cock, the flow rate of the fluid can be precisely adjusted.


Multichannel Function

The plug valve can not only be used to cut off and switch on the medium flow, but also to achieve multi-channel fluid distribution and flow direction change by changing the shape of the plug body and channel layout. Sleeve Type Plug Valve

The sleeve connection design of the sleeve type plug valve is unique, which brings great convenience to the installation process. The traditional valve connection often requires complex processes such as welding and thread fastening, which is not only time-consuming and laborious, but also requires high skills of the operator. Sleeve type connection is completely different, just put the card sleeve on the pipe, insert the valve interface, screw the nut, and use the cone deformation of the sleeve to grip the outer wall of the pipe to complete a solid connection.
