I.Basic Structure

The structure of butterfly valve is mainly composed of several core parts. The valve body as the infrastructure of the butterfly valve, its shape is mostly round or oval, and the material selection is extremely sophisticated, such as corrosion-resistant cast iron, 

high-strength cast steel and stainless steel resistant to special media. The valve body not only provides stable support for the butterfly valve, but also builds a fluid flow channel, the selection of different materials is designed to fit the complex and diverse industrial production environment, whether it is conventional water, gas transmission, or corrosive chemical fluid transmission, can cope with freely. ​The butterfly plate is the core component of the butterfly valve, which is like a rotating disk placed inside the valve body, and the size is precisely adapted to the valve diameter. During operation, the disc rotates flexibly around a specific fixed shaft, and the fine gap between the edge and the inner wall of the valve body not only ensures the smooth rotation of the disc, but also maintains the compactness of the overall structure of the valve. 


II.Working Principle

The working principle of the butterfly valve is based on the rotating motion of the butterfly plate around the axis of the valve stem. When the butterfly valve needs to be opened, the drive device receives the opening instruction, generates the corresponding torque and transmits it to the butterfly plate through the valve stem, and the butterfly plate begins to rotate counterclockwise around the axis. As the disc rotates, the seal between it and the seat is gradually separated, and the fluid channel is gradually opened to allow fluid to pass through the valve. When the disc is rotated to the 90° position, the valve is fully open, and the fluid flows almost unhindered in the pipe, and the flow rate is maximum. ​When the butterfly valve is closed, the driving device outputs torque in reverse according to the closing instruction, and the valve stem drives the butterfly plate to rotate clockwise. As the plate moves closer to the seat, the fluid passage Narrows. When the disc is turned back to the initial 0° position, the disc is tightly fitted with the sealing surface of the valve seat, completely blocking the fluid flow and closing the valve. During the whole opening and closing process, the precise adjustment of the fluid flow can be achieved by precisely controlling the rotation Angle of the butterfly plate. 

Sealing Property
