ASME B16.34 forged steel flanged Y-type strainer is a pre-pipeline protective filtration equipment designed for harsh high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions. It adopts an integrated forging forming process, delivering far superior mechanical strength and compactness compared with cast steel strainers, free from casting defects such as sand holes and porosity to eliminate external leakage risks. This product intercepts welding slag, rust, solid particles and medium impurities inside pipelines to protect core downstream equipment including pumps, regulating valves, flow meters, heat exchangers and instruments. It is widely applied in high-temperature, high-pressure and corrosive pipelines of petroleum, natural gas, coal chemical, power station and fine chemical industries. The flanged connection structure ensures stable installation and compatibility with standardized industrial pipelines. Optional blowdown plugs and high-precision screen assemblies are available for convenient on-site maintenance.

Structural Features

  • Integrated forged steel body: Main body materials include A105, LF2, F304 and F316 forgings with uniform metallographic structure, excellent impact resistance and high-temperature creep resistance, resisting deformation and leakage under high pressure.

  • Y-shaped diversion flow channel: 30°-45° inclined sedimentation chamber allows impurities to naturally settle at the bottom of the screen, achieving smooth medium flow, low pressure loss and anti-clogging performance.

  • Quick-disconnect bolted bonnet: Standard bolted sealing structure enables fast disassembly without special tooling. The screen can be taken out, cleaned and replaced in a short time to drastically reduce downtime.

  • Customizable blowdown structure: Threaded holes reserved on the bonnet for optional stainless steel blowdown plugs or small blowdown valves to discharge slag online without full disassembly of the strainer cavity.

  • Multi-layer stainless steel screen: 304/316L double-layer composite woven screen with firm welding and resistance to medium erosion. Mesh count can be customized to intercept fine solid impurities.

  • Multi-sealing solutions: Toothed metal gaskets, flexible graphite gaskets and PTFE composite seals are optional for durable leak-tight performance under high temperature, low temperature and corrosive media.

  • Multi-connection compatible structure: Besides standard RF raised face flanges, RTJ ring joint, socket weld, butt weld and NPT threaded connections are expandable to fit various pipeline installation requirements.

  • Compact lightweight forged housing: Smaller volume and lighter weight than cast steel strainers of the same specification reduce load on pipeline supports and facilitate integration into narrow pipe racks.
