J-Valves Stainless Steel Extended Stem Flange Gate Valve is a high-performance gate valve specially designed for buried pipelines, cryogenic services, and applications with limited operating space. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, this valve features an extended stem structure that positions the handwheel or actuator above ground level or outside the insulation layer for convenient operation and maintenance. The resilient wedge or metal-seated design ensures reliable bi-directional sealing, while the full-bore flow passage results in extremely low pressure drop. It is particularly suitable for cryogenic media such as LNG, liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen, as well as hard-to-access applications including underground pipe galleries and buried pipelines. The flanged ends comply with international standards, guaranteeing interchangeability and reliability in global engineering projects.

Design Features

  • Stainless Steel Construction:Valve body available in CF8 (304), CF8M (316), CF3M (316L) or low-temperature carbon steel LCB/LCC, featuring excellent low-temperature impact resistance, suitable for corrosive and cryogenic media.

  • Extended Stem Design:Stem length customizable as required, with standard extension ranging from 150mm to 3000mm, positioning the operating unit above ground, on a platform or outside insulation layers, complying with API 6D requirements for buried valves.

  • Resilient Wedge / Metal Sealing:Resilient wedge (covered with NBR/EPDM) provides self-compensating sealing for bubble-tight shut‑off; metal-seated wedge with Stellite hardfacing is designed for high-temperature and high-pressure services.

  • Full Bore Design:Straight, unobstructed flow passage ensures extremely low pressure drop and excellent pigging capability, ideal for pipeline cleaning operations and high-viscosity media.

  • Flanged Connections:RF (Raised Face), RTJ (Ring Type Joint) flanges complying with ASME B16.5/B16.47, pressure ratings Class 150LB to 1500LB.

  • Stem Protection Structure:Guide brackets or protective sleeves provided for the extended section to prevent stem bending and deformation; bottom drain port designed to remove condensate and impurities.

  • Cryogenic Service Adaptation:Extended stem keeps the bonnet away from low‑temperature media to avoid packing freezing; vacuum insulation or electric heat tracing can be installed on the stem extension.

  • Flexible Operation:Handwheel (standard), bevel gearbox, electric actuator, pneumatic/hydraulic actuator, supporting remote control and automation integration.

  • Position Indication System:Opening indicator mounted on top of the stem; limit switches and position transmitters available as options for remote status monitoring.

  • Anti‑Static & Fire‑Safe Design:Electrical continuity between body and wedge, stem and body, complying with API 607 fire test requirements.
