J-Valves Forged Steel Nickel-Aluminum Bronze Gate Valve is a high-performance composite gate valve engineered specifically for extreme corrosive environments and marine applications. This valve features a forged steel body combined with nickel-aluminum bronze (C95500/C95800) trim, integrating the high strength and pressure-retaining capability of forged steel with the excellent seawater corrosion resistance, cavitation resistance and anti-biofouling properties of nickel-aluminum bronze. It is particularly suitable for harsh services including seawater desalination, coastal power plants, marine systems and offshore platforms. The resilient wedge or metal-seated design ensures reliable bi-directional sealing, while the full-bore flow passage guarantees low pressure drop operation, making it an ideal isolation device for pipelines conveying seawater and highly corrosive media.

Design Features

  • Composite Material Structure:Valve body is integrally forged from forged steels such as A105 and F316, delivering high strength for pressure-retaining components. Trim parts including wedge and seat adopt C95500/C95800 nickel-aluminum bronze, providing excellent seawater corrosion resistance.

  • Nickel-Aluminum Bronze Trim:Contains 4%–5% nickel, 9%–11% aluminum and 3%–5% iron, with strength close to carbon steel. Its seawater corrosion rate is only 1/10 that of stainless steel, with outstanding cavitation resistance and erosion resistance.

  • Full Bore / Reduced Bore Optional:Standard full bore (FB) design features extremely low pressure drop and excellent pigging capability. Reduced bore (RB) design cuts cost and weight to meet economic requirements.

  • Resilient Wedge Sealing:Nickel-aluminum bronze wedge covered with NBR/EPDM, or solid nickel-aluminum bronze with soft sealing ring, realizes self-compensating sealing and bubble-tight zero leakage.

  • Flanged / Butt-Weld Connections:RF (Raised Face) and RTJ (Ring Type Joint) flanges conform to ASME B16.5; butt-weld (BW) ends are also available. Pressure ratings range from Class 150LB to 600LB.

  • Rising Stem Design:External threaded rising stem with stem nut made of nickel-aluminum bronze or stainless steel, resistant to seawater corrosion, with stable operating torque and visible open/close status.

  • Seat Hardfacing Technology:Seat sealing surface is Stellite alloy hardfaced or made of solid nickel-aluminum bronze, resistant to high-velocity seawater erosion and sediment abrasion, allowing in-line repair.

  • Anti-Corrosion Coating:Valve body exterior is coated with marine-grade epoxy coating or hot-dip galvanized, extending service life in buried or marine atmospheric environments.

  • Flexible Operation Modes:Handwheel (standard), impact handwheel, bevel gearbox, electric/pneumatic/hydraulic actuators, supporting remote control and automation integration.

  • Special Design Options:Extended stem (for buried / deep well installation), bypass balance hole (for large-bore high differential pressure), position indicator, locking device.
