J-VALVES
Design Features
WCB Carbon Steel Body: The body is precision-cast from ASTM A216 WCB carbon steel, with tensile strength ≥485MPa and yield strength ≥250MPa, delivering outstanding mechanical properties. It meets the pressure rating requirements of PN16 low-pressure class, suitable for non-corrosive media such as water, oil and gas, offering a more cost-effective solution than stainless steel and alloy steel strainers.
Y-Type Inclined Structure: The flow passage forms a 45° angle with inlet and outlet ports. Compared with T-type strainers, flow resistance is reduced by 30–50% with low pressure loss. It provides a larger filtration area at the same nominal size, extending screen cleaning intervals, improving system operating efficiency, and is especially suitable for high-flow, low-resistance applications.
Removable Screen Design: The top flange cover or quick-opening cover allows fast access. The pull-out screen design enables online removal, cleaning or replacement without uninstalling the strainer from the pipeline, greatly reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
Low-Pressure Flanged Connection: Both ends adopt Type B (raised face) flanges conforming to EN 1092-1 PN16. For DN150, flange outer diameter is 285mm, bolt circle diameter 240mm, 8×M20 bolts, flange thickness 22mm. Fully compatible with standard low-pressure piping systems for easy installation.
Stainless Steel Wire Mesh: 304/316 stainless steel woven mesh, with mesh sizes from 20 to 100, suitable for general industrial media filtration.
Perforated Plate Screen: Stainless steel perforated plate with hole diameters 1.0–10.0mm, ideal for filtration of large particulate impurities.
Wedge Wire Screen: Wound with V-shaped stainless steel wire, featuring strong self-cleaning performance, suitable for high-viscosity or fiber-containing media.
Double-Layer Composite Screen: Coarse outer filtration plus fine inner filtration improves filtration accuracy and extends screen service life.
Blowdown & Drainage: A 1" NPT or 1" G blowdown port is provided at the bottom, fitted with a ball valve or gate valve for online blowdown. Deposited impurities can be removed without disassembly. A differential pressure gauge connection can be installed on the side to monitor screen clogging for predictive maintenance.
Compact Structure: The Y-type unit has an approximate length of 480mm and weighs 30–40kg. Its compact design facilitates installation in pipe racks and between equipment.

Applications
HVAC Systems: Used in DN150 cooling water, chilled water and hot water pipelines for large buildings, data centers and industrial plants, protecting chillers, heat pumps and heat exchangers to improve system energy efficiency.
Oil & Gas Stations: Applied in DN150 low-pressure pipelines for crude oil, refined products and natural gas, removing welding residues, sand, silt and rust to protect pumps, compressors and metering equipment.
Large-Scale Chemical Plants: Used in DN150 feedstock and product pipelines for ethylene, propylene, ammonia, methanol and other units, removing catalyst powder and polymer particles to safeguard reactors and heat exchangers.
Metallurgical Cooling Systems: Installed in DN150 cooling water pipelines for blast furnaces, converters and continuous casters, removing scale and iron oxide to protect nozzles and cooling walls.
General Industrial Use: Suitable for impurity filtration in DN150 large-bore low-pressure water, oil and gas systems, especially for high-flow, low-pressure-drop and easy-maintenance conditions.
Advantages & Value
High Flow & Low Pressure Drop: DN150 large bore with 45° Y-type inclined structure enables a flow capacity of 300–800m³/h. Flow resistance is reduced by 30–50%, delivering high flow capacity with low pressure loss and lowering pumping energy consumption.
Cost-Effective Solution: WCB carbon steel ensures sufficient strength for PN16 low-pressure service at a significantly lower cost than stainless steel and alloy steel strainers, making it an economical choice for large-bore low-pressure strainers.
European Standard Interchangeability: Strictly conforms to EN 1092-1, EN 12516 and EN 558, fully interchangeable with DN150 PN16 strainers and pipeline accessories from major European brands, reducing inventory and replacement costs.
Flexible Multi-Screen Options: Stainless steel woven mesh, perforated plate, wedge wire and double-layer composite screens are available, adapting to diverse conditions from coarse to fine filtration. Filtration rating can be customized from 20 to 100 mesh.
Magnetic Protection Upgrade: Optional magnetic device to adsorb ferromagnetic particles, protecting downstream precision equipment, extending service life of pumps, valves, heat exchangers and membrane modules, and reducing equipment failure rates.
Predictive Maintenance Support: Optional differential pressure gauge connection for real-time monitoring of screen clogging, enabling differential pressure-based predictive maintenance and avoiding unexpected shutdowns caused by screen rupture or excessive system pressure loss.
Safety & Compliance Assurance: Shell strength test and seal test comply with EN 12266 / API 598 and pass third-party inspection, ensuring personnel and equipment safety for large-bore filtration systems.
