The 3PC Butt-Welded Trunnion Ball Valve is a high-performance three-piece trunnion mounted ball valve engineered for high-pressure, high-temperature and large-bore industrial pipeline services. Manufactured from forged carbon steel or stainless steel, the valve boasts outstanding pressure containment and temperature resistance, perfectly suited for severe operating conditions in petroleum, natural gas, chemical, power and other core industries. Its butt-weld end construction delivers robust permanent connection and eliminates potential leakage points existing in flanged joints. Options of manual, pneumatic or electric actuators can be configured to meet full automatic control requirements.

Structural Features

  • Three-Piece Body Construction: The valve body is split into left body, right body and central body, facilitating on-site in-line maintenance and internal component replacement without complete valve disassembly from pipeline.

  • Trunnion Mounted Ball Design: The ball is secured by upper and lower trunnion shafts; medium pressure is borne by valve seats instead of the ball, avoiding ball shifting and making the valve ideal for high-pressure and large-size applications.

  • Butt-Weld End Connection: End dimension complies with ASME B16.25 standard to form permanent high-integrity welded joints.

  • Dual-Seat Construction: Seats adopt Double Piston Effect (DPE) or Single Piston Effect (SPE) structure to realize bidirectional or unidirectional sealing performance respectively.

  • Fire-Safe Construction: Designed and certified per API 6FA and API 607, maintaining metal-to-metal sealing upon fire accident to prevent hazardous medium leakage.

  • Anti-Static Device: Built-in anti-static springs and steel balls guarantee continuous electrical conduction among ball, stem and body to avoid static charge accumulation.

  • Anti-Blowout Stem Design: A shoulder structure is arranged at stem bottom to lock the stem in position and prevent stem ejection under abnormal surge pressure.

  • Low Operating Torque: Matched with precision bearings under trunnion ball layout, the valve features low operational torque and is compatible with smaller-size actuators.

  • Emergency Grease Injection System: Grease fittings are installed on seats and stem; sealing grease can be injected emergently to restore sealing performance once seal failure occurs.
