General Industrial Applications: High-flow regulation of water, oil, gas and other media, suitable for HVAC, water supply/drainage and general process pipelines.
Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering: Large-bore shut-off in ballast water, bilge water and fire water systems. WCB material resists seawater and atmospheric corrosion.
Advantages & Values
Excellent Extra-Large Bore Regulation Performance: 30-inch S-type flow passage with guide ribs provides good flow regulation linearity and a wide adjustable Cv range, making it more suitable for precise throttling than butterfly valves and ball valves.
Balanced Economy & Reliability: WCB cast steel costs significantly less than forged steel and stainless steel, while meeting most industrial performance requirements at 600LB class, delivering remarkable cost optimization for extra-large bore projects.
Extended Sealing Surface Service Life: The disc lifts along the seat centerline for uniform sealing surface wear. Combined with Stellite alloy overlay, the opening/closing life is 2–3 times longer than that of gate valves.
Low Noise & Low Vibration: Optimized S-type flow passage reduces turbulence and cavitation. With sleeve-type discs, noise is reduced by 15–20dB, suitable for urban pipe networks and environmentally sensitive areas.
Comprehensive Safety & Compliance: Compliant with API 600/623, ISO 15848 and other specifications. SIL functional safety certification is optional, meeting general industrial HSE requirements.
Clear Upgrade Path: Upgradable to A105 forged steel for higher strength, A350 LF2 for low-temperature service, F316 for improved corrosion resistance, and pressure-seal bonnet for high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, protecting initial investment.
Check valves are essential components in industrial piping systems, designed to prevent reverse flow and protect pumps, compressors, and process equipment. Among the most commonly used designs are lift check valves and swing check valves. Although both serve the same basic function, their internal structures, flow characteristics, and application suitability are significantly different.
Marine piping systems operate in some of the harshest industrial environments. Continuous exposure to seawater, salt spray, moisture, and high-flow conditions creates serious challenges for filtration equipment. Among various material options, Nickel Aluminum Bronze (NAB) basket strainers have become a preferred solution for marine and offshore applications due to their outstanding corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and long service life.
