J-VALVES
Design Features
Two-Piece Body Structure:The valve body consists of left and right halves connected by bolts, featuring a compact design, light weight, and easy installation and maintenance. It offers lower cost compared with three-piece valves and easier disassembly and overhaul than one-piece valves.
Trunnion-Mounted Ball Support:The ball is fixed and supported by upper and lower bearings (trunnions). Loads generated by medium pressure are borne by the bearings instead of being transferred to the stem, resulting in constant and low operating torque for easy operation under high pressure and extended service life of the actuator.
Pneumatic Actuator Configuration:Double-acting or single-acting (spring return) pneumatic actuators with air supply pressure of 0.4–0.7 MPa. Opening and closing time is adjustable from 2 to 30 seconds. Supports integration of solenoid valves, limit switches, positioners and other accessories.
Double Piston Effect Seat (DPE):Both upstream and downstream seats provide independent self-energized sealing, ensuring reliable sealing regardless of flow direction. Supports Double Block & Bleed (DBB) function to simplify pipeline design.
Flanged / Butt-Weld Connections:RF (Raised Face) and RTJ (Ring Type Joint) flanges conform to ASME B16.5; butt-weld (BW) ends are also available. Pressure ratings range from Class 150LB to 600LB, with sizes from DN50 to DN600.
Seat Sealing Technology:Soft seats (PTFE/RPTFE/Nylon) deliver bubble-tight zero leakage. Metal seats (Stellite alloy / nickel-base alloy) resist high temperature and erosion, with operating temperature up to +450℃.
Quick Opening/Closing & Modulating Control:Pneumatic actuator enables 90° quick rotation with cycle time adjustable via speed control valves. Proportional modulation can be achieved with an electrical positioner (modulating version).
Blowout-Proof Stem & Anti-Static:A shoulder at the stem bottom prevents blowout under internal pressure. Anti-static devices are installed between the body and ball, stem and body with resistance <10Ω, complying with API 608 safety requirements.
Fire-Safe Design:Meets API 607/ISO 10497 standards. In the event of fire, after the soft seal burns out, metal seats and the ball maintain sealing to prevent secondary disasters caused by medium leakage.
Accessory Integration Capability:Solenoid valves (single/dual power), limit switches (mechanical/inductive), electrical positioners, filter regulators, speed control valves and manual override devices to form a complete control loop.
SIL Functional Safety Optional:Pneumatic actuator equipped with solenoid valve and safety relay can achieve SIL 2/SIL 3 safety integrity level, meeting requirements of ESD emergency shutdown systems.

Metallurgical Industry: Quick shutoff and switching for blast furnace gas, converter gas and coke oven gas systems, resistant to erosion from dust-containing media.
Advantages & Value
Fast Automated Response: Pneumatic actuator cycle time only 2–30 seconds, much faster than electric actuators, meeting emergency shutdown and frequent operation requirements.
Constant Low Operating Torque: Trunnion-mounted design makes torque independent of medium pressure, maintaining low torque even at high pressure, reducing actuator size and air consumption.
True Bi-Directional Sealing: DPE seat design ensures reliable bi-directional sealing without installation direction limitation, supporting pipeline isolation and pressure relief to simplify engineering design.
Fail-Safe Mode: Single-acting spring return actuator achieves Fail Open (FO) or Fail Close (FC), ensuring safe status under abnormal conditions.
SIL Functional Safety Compliance: Optional SIL 2/SIL 3 certification meets ESD system requirements, reducing process safety risks and insurance costs.
Compact & Lightweight Design: Two-piece structure is 20%–30% lighter than three-piece type, lowering pipeline support load and installation cost.
