The three-way ball valve is composed of components such as the valve body, ball, valve stem, sealing ring and valve cover. There are three channels inside the valve body, and there are through holes on the ball. The fluid flow direction is controlled by driving the ball to rotate through the valve stem. According to the channel design, it is divided into two types:
T-type (three-channel) and L-type (two-channel), which are respectively suitable for multi-directional diversion and bidirectional switching working conditions. The sealing ring is made of high-performance materials to ensure sealing performance under high pressure and high temperature. The operation modes include manual, pneumatic and electric, meeting different automation requirements.
II. Working Principle (I) Opening Process In the initial state, the ball tightly presses against the valve seat, and the sealing ring prevents the fluid from passing through. Turn the handwheel or the actuator counterclockwise, and the valve stem moves in the opposite direction, causing the ball to disengage from the valve seat and start rotating until it is fully open, allowing the fluid to pass freely. (II) Closing Process Rotate the handwheel or the actuator clockwise, the valve stem descends, and the ball rotates 90°. Finally, the ball is wedged tightly against the valve seat by the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem to achieve sealing. (II) Flow Direction Switching The T-type three-way ball valve can switch the fluid among three channels, while the L-type three-way ball valve is used for switching between two channels. The direction of the through-hole is changed by rotating the ball.
