Selection Guide for C95800 Bronze Ball Valves

The C95800 bronze ball valve is a high-performance valve product, widely used in working environments with corrosive media such as seawater, concentrated brine, sulfate and various chloride solutions. Its selection requires a comprehensive consideration of multiple factors to ensure the performance, reliability and service life of the valve.

Preparatory work before model selection
Before selecting a model, the following key information needs to be clarified:
  1. Medium type: Determine which medium the valve will be used for, such as seawater, brine, sulfate solution, etc. The C95800 bronze ball valve is particularly suitable for corrosive media containing chloride ions.

  2. Operating temperature and pressure: Understand the operating temperature range and maximum operating pressure of the medium. The operating temperature range of the C95800 bronze ball valve is usually -40°C to 300°C, and the nominal pressure can reach PN40.

  3. Flow requirements: Select an appropriate nominal diameter (DN) according to the flow requirements of the pipeline system. The nominal diameter range is usually DN15 to DN400.

  4. Installation method: Determine the installation method of the valve, such as flange connection, threaded connection or welded connection. The common connection method of the C95800 bronze ball valve is flange connection.

  5. Operation method: Select a manual, electric or pneumatic operation method according to the actual working conditions. Manual operation is suitable for small valves or occasions with low operation frequency; electric or pneumatic operation is suitable for large valves or occasions that require remote control.

II. Valve Type Selection
The C95800 bronze ball valve mainly has two types: floating ball valve and trunnion ball valve, each with its own characteristics and application scenarios:
  1. Floating Ball Valve
    · Characteristics: Under the action of medium pressure, the ball can generate a certain displacement and press against the sealing surface at the outlet end to ensure sealing performance. It has a simple structure and good sealing performance. However, all the medium pressure acts on the outlet sealing ring, which requires a relatively high material for the sealing ring.
    · Application Scenarios: It is suitable for medium and low pressure working conditions, with a nominal pressure generally not exceeding PN40 and a relatively small caliber (DN15 - DN150).

  2. Trunnion Ball Valve
    · Characteristics: The ball is fixed, and the sealing is achieved through the movement of the valve seat. It is usually equipped with upper and lower bearings, has a small operating torque, and is suitable for high-pressure and large-caliber working conditions.
    · Application Scenarios: It is suitable for occasions where the nominal pressure exceeds PN40 and the caliber is relatively large (above DN150), especially in working conditions that require frequent operation or have a relatively high medium pressure.
