(1) Importance of Flow Regulation
Flow regulation is a crucial part in ensuring the normal operation of fluid systems. The flow regulation ability of the Y-type filter directly affects its filtration efficiency and system energy consumption. Reasonable flow regulation can optimize the distribution of fluid on the filter screen, reduce the risk of local overload and blockage, and at the same time reduce the system operation cost.
(2) Key Indicators of Filtration Effect
The filtration effect is mainly reflected in three aspects: filtration accuracy, interception rate, and pressure drop. Filtration accuracy determines the size of particles that the filter can remove; the interception rate reflects the efficiency of the filter in removing particles; and the pressure drop directly affects the energy consumption and operation cost of the system.
Select the Appropriate Mesh Number: Choose the appropriate mesh number of the filter screen according to the fluid characteristics and filtration requirements. For example, in the pharmaceutical industry, filter screens with 100-200 meshes are usually selected.
Adopt High-performance Materials: Use stainless-steel sintered meshes or multi-layer composite filter screens to improve the strength and corrosion resistance of the filter screen.
(2) Improve the Hydrodynamic Design
Design of Guide Vanes: Install guide vanes inside the filter to guide the fluid to pass through the filter screen evenly and reduce the local pressure drop.
Optimize the Structure of the Inlet and Outlet: Optimize the fluid flow path by adjusting the inlet contraction ratio and the outlet angle to improve the filtration efficiency.
Adjust the Outlet Angle: Reduce the angle between the outlet and the cylinder to increase the area of the medium-speed flow region and improve the hydraulic performance.
Increase the Filtration Area: Select a filter screen with an extended length or a basket filter to increase the filtration area and reduce the pressure drop.
(4) Intelligent Monitoring and Maintenance
Install a Differential Pressure Sensor: Monitor the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet of the filter in real-time. When the differential pressure exceeds the set value, clean or replace the filter screen in a timely manner.
Regular Maintenance: Clean the filter screen regularly according to the operating conditions of the system to remove the accumulated impurities and ensure the long-term stable operation of the filter.
