In the busy rhythm of work, we are like gears wound up tightly, running non-stop. However, life is not just about the hustle and bustle in front of us. Well, the J-VALVES team had an extremely exciting villa party team building activity, allowing everyone to put aside work and enjoy themselves to the fullest!
May 14th was a carnival for the J-VALVES team to take a temporary break from the busy work and a wonderful time for them to enjoy themselves without restraint. With great expectations in their hearts, everyone went to that villa full of surprises together and started a very interesting team building journey of the villa party.
The moment we stepped into the villa, it seemed that all the work pressure was shut out. In the spacious, bright and warm space, the relaxing atmosphere could be felt everywhere. Instantly, excitement and expectation like those of children flashed in everyone's eyes, just as if a treasure box full of happiness had been opened.
Soon, the mahjong table was surrounded by people. The sound of shuffling the mahjong tiles played the happy prelude to this team building activity. Colleagues who usually focused on various projects and dealt with all kinds of data rigorously in the office were now immersed in this small square table, staring intently at the tiles in their hands. Some people frowned slightly, seeming to be thinking hard about the next tile-playing strategy, looking as if they were tackling the most difficult problems at work. Others were beaming with smiles on their faces, clearly having great luck. From time to time, they would proudly shout "I've got a winning hand by myself!", which drew bursts of laughter and teasing from those around them. During the back-and-forth of playing tiles, matching tiles and winning, laughter and cheers intertwined, filling the whole villa with a lively and bustling atmosphere.
The battlefield of Werewolf was even more intense. Everyone took their seats. The moment they got their identity cards, it was as if they had entered a mysterious world full of wisdom and acting skills. "Close your eyes when it's night. Werewolves, open your eyes." With the host's words, the atmosphere instantly became tense. Colleagues in the werewolf camp exchanged glances, conveying "conspiracies" and trying to secretly "hunt" the villagers in the dark. And the villagers were trying hard to find clues from everyone's words and expressions, wanting to find out the werewolves hidden around them. "I think his speech is very suspicious. He's been leading the rhythm all the time. He must be a werewolf!" "I'm a definite good guy. Don't be misled by him. I even guarded someone last night!" Everyone expressed their opinions and argued heatedly. Every round of voting was full of suspense. Whenever a werewolf was successfully voted out or a villager was unfortunately "killed", it would trigger a burst of laughter of either chagrin or relief, and the happy atmosphere was almost bursting through the roof.
The game of "Taboo" became a joy-making machine for everyone. Everyone had unique task phrases pasted on their heads, and then they began to chat and interact carefully, for fear of accidentally saying or doing something related to the phrases and getting "caught". Colleagues who were usually calm and serious now became cautious, thinking twice before speaking. But the more cautious they were, the easier it was to make jokes. Some people answered incoherently in order to avoid their phrases, making everyone laugh so hard that they could hardly straighten up. Others were made dizzy by others' clever questions and finally couldn't avoid the "trap". Their helpless and funny expressions made the whole villa burst into waves of laughter one after another, and the villa was almost "flooded" by the joy.
After having a great time playing, our stomachs began to protest. At this time, the barbecue and cooking areas became very lively. In the kitchen, several colleagues with excellent cooking skills turned into chefs. They put on aprons, picked up spatulas and began to show their talents. The sounds of cutting vegetables, stir-frying and the humming of the range hood played a symphony of delicious food together. Tomatoes were rolling in the pan and gradually turned into thick sauce. Slices of meat were stir-fried in hot oil, giving off an inviting aroma. Beside the barbecue grill outside the villa, there were also many people gathered. While helping to skewer the ingredients, they watched the chicken wings and mutton kebabs on the charcoal fire slowly turn golden and fragrant. The fat dripped onto the charcoal fire, splashing out sparks from time to time, and also giving off an appetizing fragrance. Everyone chatted with each other, sharing barbecue tips and joking about whose stomach had already started growling. Laughter and the fragrance of food filled the air.
During this happy process, taking pictures for souvenirs was naturally indispensable. Everyone picked up their mobile phones to capture every interesting moment, whether it was the hearty laughter in front of the mahjong table, the heated arguments during the Werewolf game, or the funny looks with narrowed eyes when being smoked by the barbecue fire. These photos are like keys to time, locking in the happiness of this moment and will also become precious treasures for us to recall this wonderful time in the future.
When the afterglow of the setting sun shone on the window sills of the villa, this villa party team building activity gradually came to an end. However, the smiles on everyone's faces didn't fade at all. Our hearts were full of reluctance and aftertastes for this happy time. Through this activity, we not only broke free from the busy work and relaxed ourselves to the fullest, but also, more importantly, the distance between team members was further narrowed. The slight sense of unfamiliarity accumulated in daily work disappeared completely in these games, laughter and delicious food.
