Selection Key Points
(I) Working Pressure and Temperature
Select appropriate pressure and temperature ratings according to the working conditions. The pressure ratings of DBB ball valves usually cover 150, 300, 600, etc., with a nominal pressure range of 16-100, and an applicable temperature range from -46°C to 300°C. Ensure that the parameters of the selected valve match the system requirements.
(II) Medium Characteristics
Consider the corrosiveness, abrasiveness of the medium and whether it contains particles. For corrosive media, corrosion-resistant materials such as 316 stainless steel should be selected; for media containing particles, ensure that the sealing structure can resist particle erosion.
(III) Valve Size
Select an appropriate valve size according to the pipeline diameter. The nominal diameter range of DBB ball valves is from DN15 to DN200. At the same time, consider whether the structural length of the valve meets the installation space requirements.
(IV) Sealing Requirements
DBB ball valves have a double-block-and-bleed function, which can effectively prevent medium leakage. For high-risk media, valves with fire-proof and anti-static functions should be selected.
(V) Actuator
Select a manual, pneumatic or electric actuator according to the operation requirements. Pneumatic and electric actuators can achieve automatic control, but the reliability of the gas source or power supply needs to be considered.
Ensure that the pipeline is clean, free of welding slag and impurities.
Check the valve nameplate, inspect whether the valve is in good condition, and operate it several times to confirm its normal operation.
Check whether the inner cavity of the valve body is clean and remove any debris that may damage the sealing surface.
DBB ball valves usually have requirements for installation direction. Ensure that the flow direction is consistent with the arrow indication on the valve; otherwise, it may affect the sealing performance and pressure relief.
When connecting by flanges, the bolts should be tightened symmetrically and evenly.
Ensure that the sealing gasket meets the requirements of the pipeline design.
