The quality of FBE gate valves in industrial pipeline projects is defined by two core indicators: uniform coating thickness and zero pinhole integrity. Most conventional valve manufacturers only meet basic qualification standards, while J-VALVES adheres to strict ISO 21809 series international specifications to implement full-process precision control for FBE coating production and testing. All finished FBE gate valves complete dual strict inspections of magnetic thickness measurement and high-voltage spark leakage detection before delivery, achieving one-time full compliance with ISO 21809 international standards.
ISO 21809-1:2018 and ISO 21809-2 define the core qualification criteria for industrial FBE coatings. Unqualified FBE coatings mainly fail due to two defects: insufficient local thickness leading to accelerated substrate corrosion, and tiny pinholes causing continuous electrochemical corrosion under buried working conditions. To eliminate these risks, J-VALVES formulates a standardized multi-point sampling inspection mechanism in line with ISO 21809 specifications: each gate valve is measured at 8–12 key positions including upper/lower valve body, flange end face, weld joints, and internal flow channel, ensuring coating thickness fluctuation is controlled within ±10% without thin points or accumulated thick coating. All field joint coating treatments strictly follow ISO 21809-3 construction and testing requirements to ensure overall pipeline coating consistency.
The high-voltage spark test is the most rigorous non-destructive testing method for FBE coating integrity. In strict accordance with ISO 21809-1 testing parameters, the equipment performs full-coverage scanning on all surfaces of FBE gate valves. The one-time zero-fault pass of the test verifies that J-VALVES’ FBE coating has complete molecular cross-linking, strong adhesion, and no penetrating defect channels. The coating can effectively isolate soil, sewage, acid-base salt, and marine salt fog corrosive media, adapting to extreme working conditions such as desert high temperature, coastal high humidity, and buried long-term operation.
Different from ordinary manufacturers’ post-repair defect processing mode, J-VALVES realizes zero-defect molding at one time through front-end process optimization. From raw material selection of imported high-performance epoxy powder compliant with ISO 21809 standards, intelligent constant-temperature curing, to manual fine repair of edge dead zones, every link is in line with international standards. The delivered FBE gate valves have stable adhesion above 10MPa, far exceeding the ISO 21809-1 standard minimum requirement of 5MPa, with superior impact resistance and aging resistance, becoming a high-reliability choice for global oil, chemical, and municipal pipeline projects.
