FBE Spray - Coating Valves Process Procedure
1. Purpose
This program specifies the spraying process to ensure that the valve fusion bonded epoxy powder spraying product meets quality requirements.
2. Scope
This procedure applies to the entire FBE spray - coating production process within the J-VALVES company.
3. Responsibilities
3.1 Incoming Inspection Department
Responsible for the incoming inspection of raw materials. Inspect the incoming materials strictly according to the quality standards.
For unqualified incoming materials, follow the “Return to Supplier for Rework” process. For qualified incoming materials, transfer them to the warehouse for storage.
3.2 Warehouse Department
Responsible for the storage of qualified incoming materials. Manage the inventory of materials, and ensure that the materials are properly stored.
Issue materials according to the production needs, following the “Material Issuance” process.
3.3 Production Department
Sand Blasting: Perform sand blasting operation with 0.4 steel grit for 20 minutes as required.
Pre - heating: Conduct pre - heating at 180 degrees as per the process.
Electrostatic Spraying (180UM): Carry out the first electrostatic spraying operation with the specified thickness (180UM).
Baking (220 degrees for 60 minutes): Bake the products after the first electrostatic spraying at 220 degrees for 60 minutes.
Second Electrostatic Spraying (350UM): Perform the second electrostatic spraying with the thickness of 350UM.
Second Baking (220 degrees for 90 minutes): Bake the products after the second electrostatic spraying at 220 degrees for 90 minutes.
3.4 Final Inspection Department
Responsible for the final inspection of the FBE spray - coated products. Inspect the products strictly according to the quality standards.
For qualified products, transfer them to the finished product warehouse for shipment. For unqualified products, follow the “Rework” process.
4.FBE Spray Coating Testing Content
4.1 Film thickness testing: For RAL5005 blue FBE anti-corrosion powder coating, the coating film thickness needs to be above 300um, and film thickness measuring equipment can be used to ensure that the coating thickness meets protection requirements.
4.2 Coating peeling and adhesion testing
Pull off method: By applying a certain amount of tension to observe whether the coating peels off, it is used to quantitatively evaluate the adhesion of the coating. It can accurately measure the bonding strength between the coating and the substrate, and determine whether the bonding strength meets the standard.
4.3 Leakage detection
Low pressure leak detector detection (wet sponge detection) (applicable to thin coatings such as FBE, ≤ 0.5mm):
Key parameters: DC voltage ≤ 100V, control the moisture content of sponge electrode.
Operation: Use a wet sponge low-pressure leak detector to scan at a constant speed of 0.1-0.3m/s. Before testing, perform a surface cleanliness test to confirm whether the product is qualified through the instrument
5. Records
- Incoming inspection records
